    Set For Love livestream to feature Carl Cox, Sasha, & Kevin Saunderson

    Set For Love announced a special livestream charity event featuring performances by Carl Cox, Sasha, and Kevin Saunderson on Friday, November 20 on Beatport’s Twitch channel from 3 pm – 1:00 am GMT / 4 pm – 2 am CET / 10 am – 9 pm EST.

    The event, which will raise funds over the weekend of World Children’s Day, will support children in developing countries and is an initiative by the charity Last Night A DJ Saved My Life (LNADJ).

    With Sasha performing from an iconic location in Ibiza and Carl Cox sharing a set from Australia, Kevin Saunderson will be delivering a worldwide exclusive with his new project, “The Saundersons.”  The artist will be featuring a special back-to-back set with his sons, “The Saunderson Brothers” and revealing a special performance of his wife Ann Saunderson on vocals.

    In addition to the aforementioned artists, the fundraiser will also be featuring a diverse lineup of international talent with performances by Josh Butler, Maxinne Garman, wAFF, Anna Tur, Fernanda Martins, Fatima Hajji, and Miss Monique.

    All proceeds from the event will support grassroots projects in developing countries including Tanzania, Uganda, The Philippines, and Nepal.  Focused on creating a sustainable future for children, these projects help young people and their families by delivering food and water and providing education, safety, and trauma rehabilitation. 

    Thus far, over 700 DJs from over 50 countries have registered to perform their own Set For Love over the weekend and will be participating in what is potentially the world’s largest simultaneous livestream event.  DJs of all abilities are welcome to get involved and can register to play their Set For Love here.  Donations can also be made through that link.

    Audien will be kicking-off Insomniac’s Park N Rave drive-in concert series next month, as he is scheduled to perform at NOS Events Center on Friday, December 4, and Saturday, December 5.

    This announcement comes just after a string of upcoming shows have been added. Dreamstate will be taking over NOS Events Center on Friday, November 20, Saturday, November 21, and Sunday,  November, November 22 with trance acts Cosmic Gate, Markus Schulz, Infected Mushroom, and Paul Oakenfold scheduled to perform.  The following week Bassrush will be taking over for Thanksgiving Weekend with Ganja White Night performing on Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28.

    Insomniac’s Park N Rave concerts have seen much success with previous takeovers from Factory 93 and Desert Hearts.  The drive-in shows have welcomed a slew of major figures in electronic music including performances by Maceo Plex, Kayzo, 12th Planet, JOYRYDE, DJ Tennis, and Justin Martin.

    The concerts follow strict COVID-19 protocols and guidelines with cars appropriately spaced six feet apart. Attendees will not be allowed to leave the vehicle, except when using the bathroom.  Parking spots will be granted on a first-come-first-serve basis.  Therefore, it is strongly recommended to arrive before the concert’s start time at 7:00 pm.

    Tickets to the upcoming Audien Park N Rave concert are currently on sale now with passes ranging from $200 to $400 depending on the proximity to the stage.  Vehicle passes include five attendants per vehicle, but there is also an added ticket option to purchase passes for up to eight people.  For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit the following link.

    MDLBeast announced that it would be continuing its Freqways monthly Livestream series as it is scheduled to host Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Deorro, and more on Thursday, November 19 at 6 pm.

    The event, which is scheduled to feature all-star performances from Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, Mark Farina, La Fleur, Deorro, and Abbas will be streamed live from various international locations around the world.  Just some of the stunning sites the artists will be performing include The Statler in Dallas, an LA rooftop, Vaxholm Kastellet in Stockholm Archipelago, Ibiza, and W Hotel Amsterdam.

    Dreamstate and Insomniac announced an exclusive Dining Experience with Markus Schulz on Friday, Nov. 27, Saturday, Nov. 28, and Sunday, Nov. 29 at The Circle in Huntington Beach, Ocean County.

    The event is expected to be an exploration of food and music where attendees will be able to enjoy a stunning six-course fine dining meal with Trance music icon Markus Schulz in an intimate setting.  Dreamstate is known to transport fans to a “higher state of consciousness” with ethereal trance beats from some of the biggest names in the genre.  This unique evening is sure to be a rare opportunity to experience a live Dreamstate show while being surrounded by stunning food and company.

    This exclusive experience will be following all CDC guidelines to ensure safety for all of its patrons, which will include mask-wearing at all times except while eating or consuming beverages.  Seating will begin at 7:00 pm and dinner will begin at 8 pm.  It is strongly recommended to arrive early. 

    This announcement comes just shortly after Insomniac announced next year’s Dreamstate SoCal 2021 and its upcoming Dreamstate Park N Rave, which is scheduled to take place at NOS Events Center on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21 where Schulz will also be performing.

    An extremely limited number of passes are currently on sale now for Dreamstate’s Markus Schulz Dining Experience.  Ticket prices range from $160 to $600 and are sold for groups.     Superbowl 2021 has announced that The Weeknd will be its half-time performer at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on February 7.

    Superbowl 2021 marks the second halftime show produced in part by Jay-Z and Roc Nation.  The N.F.L. has asked Jay-Z to take on the role of orchestrating the musical performances at games after artists across the music industry said they would not work with the league to show solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, a former San Francisco 49ers quarterback. Kaepernick began kneeling during the playing of the national anthem before games to protest police brutality and racial injustice and has not found work in the league since 2016.

    The performance could present a number of challenges due to COVID-19 concerns.  The N.F.L. has scaled back its plans because of the pandemic. The N.F.L has said that it is likely that only about 20 percent of the seats at the stadium would be filled.

    Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, more commonly known by his artistic name The Weeknd, is a Grammy-Award winning Diamond certified singer/songwriter, actor, and music producer.  The artist has amassed five number-one hits and has sold more than 75 million records globally.     Insomniac’s Park N Rave concert series has announced another Bassrush event, which is scheduled to take place over Thanksgiving Day weekend on Saturday, Nov. 28 at NOS Events Center from 7 pm – 11 pm.

    Featuring a headlining performance by Ganja White Night, this marks the second Bassrush Park N Rave event to be held by Insomniac.  Bassrush also recently announced that 12th Planet’s SWAMPLEX will be taking over NOS Events Center this upcoming weekend on Friday, Nov. 13.

    Insomniac’s Park N Rave plans to go full-throttle all weekend long as it also plans to be taken over by the Desert Hearts crew on Saturday, Nov. 14, and Sunday, Nov. 15.  Featuring a headlining set by DJ Tennis on Saturday and Justin Martin as its headliner on Sunday, Insomniac’s Park N Rave will be transforming its venue from Bass on Friday to techno on both Saturday and Sunday evening.  

    Ganja White Night is the newest headliner added to Insomniac’s socially-distant drive-in concerts, which have seen success with previous events that featured performances by Maceo Plex, Kayzo, Adventure Club, and JOYRYDE.  

    Insomniac’s Park N Rave concert series provides ticket holders with an exclusive concert in a safe, socially distant environment.  Cars will be admitted into the event with five occupants allowed in the car at a time with additional occupancy upgrades available for up to eight people.

    2020 MTV Europe Music Awards announce its winners

    The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards announced this year’s winners on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, as it aired in over 180 countries worldwide.  The broadcast streamed a number of all-star performances by some of the top music artists including David Guetta, Zara Larrson, Sam Smith, Maluma, Doja Cat, and YUNGBLD.

    The award for “Best Electronic” went to none other than David Guetta who is having a monumental 2020, following the recent announcement of being voted the World’s #1 DJ by DJ Mag’s annual Top 100 DJs poll.

    BTS took home the most EMA wins with four awards for “Best Song,” “Best Group,” “Best Virtual Live” and “Biggest Fans.”  Karol G also took home two big wins.  She became the first person awarded the “Best Latin” EMA and also won “Best Collaboration” for “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj. Lady Gaga was crowned the year’s “Best Artist,” and DJ Khaled accepted the EMA for “Best Video” for his track “Popstar” featuring Drake, starring Justin Bieber.  

    The MTV Europe Music Awards receives votes from fans all over the world for the artists nominated in each of its categories.  Each award is granted to whoever receives the most votes from fans.

    Lost Horizon announces a series of VR events

    Lost Horizon, a virtual reality (VR) music venue created in the social VR platform Sansar, has announced a series of events that are scheduled to take place throughout the month of Dec. 

    From the team behind Glastonbury’s Shangri-La, Lost Horizon will play host to DJs, underground acts, and visual artists before culminating with a “Chasing Midnight” global celebration on New Year’s Eve that will feature 12 time zones and 12 countdowns.  

    The lineup for the event series still has yet to be announced; however, Glastonbury’s Shangri-La festival held back in July featured performances by Carl Cox, Fatboy Slim, and Pete Tong and welcomed over 4 million viewers from 100 countries.

    “We are incredibly excited to launch the second phase of Lost Horizon with a raft of exciting shows in December, plus we have some huge plans for 2021 and beyond. In these troubled times, our mission is to bring some joy and real culture into people’s lives.

    Performances will be held across six customizable stages within the virtual venue.  These include the festival stage Freedom; 360-degree digital arena the Gas Tower; media center SHITV; underground club Nomad; plus a virtual open-air art gallery and the interactive Landing Zone, which features merchandise stalls, art, seating, and information points recreating the festival experience.  

    Viewers can explore the interactive, multi-stage venue in Sansar via PC and VR, web browser, or app. The season’s events will also be streamed live, globally.

    Insomniac’s Park N Rave drive-in concert series has announced 12th Planet’s SWAMPLEX on Friday, Nov. 13 at NOS Events Center in Southern California.

    Presented by Bassrush, 12th Planet’s SWAMPLEX is the newest event added to Insomniac’s Park N Rave concert series which successfully kicked-off at the beginning of October.  Since its inception, the socially distant drive-in concerts have welcomed performances by Maceo Plex, Kayzo, and most recently JOYRYDE and Wax Motif at their most recent Boo! Park N Rave over Halloween weekend. 

    The series has also announced that it will be hosting a Trance Dreamstate party this weekend where it will feature an all-star lineup of trance acts including performances by Cosmic Gate, Infected Mushroom, and Markus Schulz.

    Tickets to 12th Planet’s SWAMPLEX are currently on sale now and range from $200 to $400 for each car. For anyone traveling with more than five passengers, Insomniac has offered companion passes for an additional three people per car.  This does not include taxes and fees. Ticket prices will fluctuate depending on the car’s proximity to the stage.

    Q-Dance announced that it will be bringing its hard-style to listeners across the world with a special 4-hour live-stream experience titled, Qlimax: The Source, which is set to take place on Nov. 28.

    Known for its high-quality, innovative experiences, Qlimax: The Source will be taking viewers on a six-chapter audiovisual journey filmed at the most unique locations with each chapter’s soundtrack composed by an artist prominent in their scene.     Dua Lipa announces virtual concert ‘Studio 2054’

    Dua Lipa recently made an announcement via IGTV that she would be hosting a live-stream concert titled, ‘Studio 2054’ which is scheduled to take place on Nov. 27. 

    The virtual concert will be recorded in a giant warehouse and see Lipa perform an array of hit tracks from her self-titled debut album in addition to her most recent release, Future Nostalgia.  Modeling the legendary 70’s Studio 54 nightclub, Lipa will be performing in a crafted stage representing raves, roller discos, ballrooms, and more.  Fans can also expect some surprise guest appearances as well. 

    This announcement comes just a few months after the remix album Club Future Nostalgia was released.  The album featured a collection of brand-new remixes curated by The Blessed Madonna and hosted an incredible lineup of talent including Missy Elliot, Madonna, Mark Ronson, and Gwen Stefani.

    Chicago-based Lakeshore Drive-In confirmed that it will be returning with a concert series in Spring 2021 following a string of 40 successful socially distant live shows this year. 

    Hosting a number of major electronic music acts for its 2020 series, Lakeshore Drive-In welcomed performances by Anthony Attalla, Autograf, Bommer, Boombox Cartel, Dirt Monkey, Dombresky, Gene Farris, Inphinity, Lee Foss, Maceo Plex, Markus Schulz, Nitti Gritti, Noizu, SNBRN, Subtronics, and more.     Dutch DJ/producer Armin van Buuren announced a series of exclusive virtual reality (VR) performances within Sensorium Galaxy due out early next year.

    Armin van Buuren adds to the platform’s budding list of artists to perform within PRISM, a groundbreaking new virtual music world inside Sensorium Galaxy. The TIDAL-backed social VR platform has already confirmed acts David Guetta and Carl Cox to perform as well.   

    Redefining the way people interact with one another and experience the arts, Sensorium will be creating a photorealistic avatar of Armin van Buuren using state-of-the-art motion capture technology to front the Dutchman’s performances once the platform is launched. 

    The platform will also be providing artists with a chance to engage with their audiences at an emotional level.  In addition to being able to share their music experience with friends, participants within the platform will be able to experience the show through the eyes of the artists, receive a digital autograph, or take a virtual selfie.

    Amsterdam Music Festival (AMF) 2020 announced this year’s lineup for its virtual event, which is scheduled to air live on AMF.TV on Nov. 7 at 8 pm CET (2 pm EST).

    Last year marked the festival’s fastest-ever selling edition of all time and this year AMF will be returning bigger than ever before.  With headlining performances by Afrojack, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Don Diablo, and Nicky Romero, Amsterdam Music Festival will be streaming its headlining sets live from various famous locations in Amsterdam.

    Amsterdam Music Festival 2020 will be joining forces with DJ Mag to present this year’s Top 100 DJs Awards. Therefore, there will also be a performance by the crowning #1 DJ of 2020.

    Amsterdam Music Festival is an annual electronic music festival typically held during Amsterdam Dance Event. The festival works in collaboration with DJ Mag to announce the Top 100 DJs each year where several prizes are awarded, among which is the award for the #1 DJ in the world.

    The 2020 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) announced that David Guetta will be performing at this year’s live stream event, which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Nov. 8.   

    Marking the first time in its history, the 2020 MTV EMAs will be shining a spotlight on Hungary where David Guetta will be performing.  Providing a behind-the-scenes look at the event, the artist will be on the ground with supermodel Barbara Palvin who will explore the country’s exquisite scenery and architecture, revealing some of Hungary’s “must-see” landmarks and sights.

Garnering over 50 million record sales and 13 billion streams worldwide, the artist has become one of the most influential names in electronic music.

    The 2020 MTV EMAs is scheduled to air in over 180 countries worldwide and has also revealed that it will be featuring performances by Alicia Keys, DaBaby, Karol G, Tate McRae, Jack Harlow, Zara Larrson, Sam Smith, Maluma, Doja Cat, and YUNGBLUD.
