    Venerable electronic music label Monstercat celebrates its 10-year anniversary with the release of its Monstercat – 10 Year Anniversary LP, which is available stream/download now.

    Spanning artists across all three of its brands, Uncaged, Instinct, and Silk, Monstercat 10-Year Anniversary traverses a range of electronic music genres that include dubstep, electro house, future bass, and more. Featuring pivotal artists like Stephen Walking, Pegboard Nerds, Rogue, Shingo Nakamura, and Nitro Fun, the album includes a number of never been formally released tracks with unheard gems dating back to 2011.

    Nora En Pure & Beatport announce a livestream from Switzerland

    Deep-house queen Nora En Pure teams up with Beatport to deliver a special livestream from Switzerland on Friday, June 25 at 17:30 CEST via Facebook and Twitch.

    Marking one year since the artist debuted her Purifed 200 stream, Nora En Pure will be inviting the world to partake in a special hour and a half-hour-long set from the majestic Lake Arnen, Gstaad, situated in the Swiss Alps.  As part of Beatport’s Game Changer series in collaboration with Microsoft Surface, the artist will sit down with the team to discuss how she discovers music, what she is inspired by and how she prepares her Purified Radio Show.  

     “I am really excited about this stream, as it feels like the last chapter of showcasing the music & work we’ve been doing during this time at home before touring recommences. For this one, I wanted to capture more summery vibes, so a mountain lake was a perfect spot, as I usually love to spend summertime at the lakes. I like placing my streams next to a body of water as it really fits the Purified vibe and the flowing water gives motion to the music. We found Lake Arnen to be the ideal spot, and we hope you guys agree!”

    Cosmic Gate announce livestream ahead of new release, ‘Feel It’

    Coveted trance music duo Cosmic Gate announces that they will be embarking to San Miguel De Allende in Mexico for another livestream performance on Wednesday, May 19 via  YouTube, Facebook & Twitch from 6 PM CET / 12 PM EST / 9 AM PST.

    After seeing massive success from their two previous livestream performances, Cosmic Gate has set their sights outside of the country to Mexico’s central highlands for another emphatic performance for fans.  Voted Condé Nast Traveller’s Best Small City In The World in 2020 for three years, the duo have entertained the possibility of heralding a show within the UNESCO World Heritage city for some time.

    This announcement coincides with the release of their forthcoming hotly anticipated new album MOSAIIK due out later this year.  The livestream will mark the pair’s second MOSAIIK livestream with  San Miguel’s spectacularly lit Baroque architecture as its backdrop.

    Primavera Sound Barcelona 2021 postpones to 2022

    Primavera Sound Barcelona 2021 announced it will be postponing this year’s edition until 2022 due to force majeure and the “‘uncertainty surrounding the legal framework of large events.”

    Expected to take place from June 2-6, 2021 to celebrate its twentieth anniversary, Primavera Sound made the official announcement on their website stating,

    “The restrictions that currently exist, means that we cannot work normally on the preparation of the festival nor ensure that, once the date arrives, it can be celebrated. Although it is painful, we know that this is the right decision, especially for those of you who have to plan your trip in advance. We have left no stone unturned: we led the clinical trial carried out at the Apolo in Barcelona last December and we have been in constant contact with the health authorities to explore all possible solutions. But the twentieth anniversary of Primavera Sound deserves a party like the ones we are used to, and the global situation does not seem favorable to allowing something like this to happen this summer. At least not in a way in which we can live the full Primavera Sound experience.”

    This marks the second year in a row that the festival has canceled its event.  Similar to last year, ticket holders will be offered the same opportunity to keep their tickets for next year or request a refund starting Wednesday, June 2nd, when the Primavera Sound Barcelona 2022 line-up will be revealed. The festival promises to deliver its best festival in 2022 yet.

    Powered by Pioneer DJ and Pioneer Pro Audio, the livestream event will feature a performance by internationally recognized DJ Florian Picasso while giving spectators the rare opportunity to see inside Pablo Picasso’s atelier which used to serve as his painting studio.  For one night only, the room will be transformed back to its original state to resemble what it looked like when Pablo was working there with paintings, sketches, and sculptures.  The artist is set to use the latest gear from Pioneer DJ in his performance.

    The 90-minute set will also include Vietnamese artist Cyril Kongo who will be painting alongside Florian throughout much of his performance. Being adopted from Vietnam by the famous Picasso family, this unique collaboration further emphasizes Florian’s ties with the country. The art piece created by Cyril will be auctioned with all the proceeds benefiting an orphanage in Vietnam. The painting will later be handed over to its buyer during a Global Gift Gala.

    This announcement comes recently after Florian Picasso delivered a mesmerizing livestream back in August from Pablo Picasso’s Villa Californie in Cannes.  The villa has become an ‘unparalleled place of inspiration’ to Forian who based his recording studio in the same place his grandfather used to work on his art.

    HARD Events launches a brand-new gaming series, TRY HARDs, which will unite the biggest DJs and gamers in a weekly competition on Insomniac TV via Twitch.

    Featuring all-star DJs in a head-to-head competition against professional gamers, TRY HARDs will feature top dance music acts Chris Lorenzo, Cheat Codes, Wax Motif, Born Dirty, Danl from Gladiator, and more in just its first week of programming.  Week one will also welcome pop music star AJ Mitchell with gamers Renée Reynosa, Di3seL, kenjiGX, and JTheReaper.

    Every episode will feature two DJs taking on two professional gamers with appearances from some of EDM’s elite artists that HARD Events is known to deliver.  With a diverse range of artists from an array of genres, the lighthearted competition will be the perfect entertainment for gamers and music enthusiasts worldwide. 

    Hosted by long-time gaming personality Brittani Johnson (E3, G4TV), TRY HARDs will merge the worlds of music, gaming, and streaming into one.  Season One will feature six weeks of daily programming with three episodes of gaming and one recap show to close each week.

    Each daily broadcast will center around a gaming theme with Mondays focusing on lighthearted titles like Super Smash Brothers, Fall Guy, and Rocketleague while Tuesdays will revolve around first-person shooter games such as Call of Duty and Fortnite.  Wednesday will be tackling sports games like Fifa and NBA 2K. Fridays will see Johnson recap the week’s highlights with behind-the-scenes footage, bloopers, and gossip as well as update fans on the latest gaming news.

    The immersive digital music hub Hydeout: The Prelude is set to premiere performances by Rita Ora and Monstercat artists Eptic & Tokyo Machine this coming weekend.

    Scheduled to perform on Hydeout’s 3D Worlds Stage, singer/songwriter Rita Ora will make her Hydeout debut on February 5 at 9 pm GMT.  Premiering on Sunday, February 7 the electronic music label Monstercat will be taking over Hydeout with performances by Eptic & Tokyo Machine at 9 pm CST.

    Hydeout intends to bridge the gap between virtual and physical realms with over 40 on-demand episodes and a steady stream of content from top music acts throughout 2021. Just some of the artists confirmed include Alison Wonderland, DJ Snake, Don Diablo, Martin Garrix, Tinashe, TOKiMONSTA, Bohan, and Dombresky to name a few.  The digital environment will also include exclusive content from rap artists Wiz Khalifa, G-Eazy, and The Kid Laroi.
