Martin Garrix stamp reveals exclusive virtual performance

Martin Garrix announced that PostNL would be putting him on his very own stamp, which will provide fans with an exclusive virtual performance by the artist by downloading a free interactive app.

Keeping with the current technology, the stamp’s app will provide fans with photos and information on the artist. Further, by scanning the stamp with the app, fans will experience an exclusive, private AR (augmented reality) performance by Martin Garrix himself.  The DJ/producer will merge with the camera of the phone, allowing the viewer to enjoy the performance with the added convenience of being anywhere.

Being put on a stamp hits home with the artist as his father owned a stamp auction house and was exposed to the industry at an early age.  He even makes a reference to stamps with the name of his recording label, STMPD RCRDS.

“From an early age I’ve had stamps around me due to my dad’s company. Therefore, when starting my label, we even chose a name that refers to stamps: STMPD RCRDS. It is very special to be on a stamp myself now and I am super happy with the end result.’’

    – Martin Garrix

The Martin Garrix stamp sheet has five identical stamps and is currently available for GBP £4.33 at the following link.  The validity period of the stamps is indefinite.

The accompanying app can now be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and Apple Store.
