“Fix It” is my attempt to start a more prolific year of releasing music with Monstercat, picking up where I left off with my Wishes EP. I want fans to connect with what I think is honest, genuine dance music. Lyrically, the song came during a moment of doubt in my life, where I was pretty down on myself for not producing music as fast as I would have liked in a perfect world, which has always been a struggle for me. I don’t want to say I’ve cracked that bit of the code with “Fix It,” but I do have quite a few releases lined up for 2021 already, and I’m really excited about that!”

    Grant

“Fix It” is an honest look at the less than perfect parts within each of us. I feel like the last year has really been a year of growth personally, and in my relationships, and I wanted to capture that in this song. Grant and I both are hoping this song is encouraging to anyone going through something.”

To be able to team-up with both of them is a dream, and I’m so excited for everyone to be able to hear our collaboration! Hope each one of you takes something out of this song, a piece that resonates with you.”

    Tokyo Machine

“We’ve been fans of TM’s works since his early releases like “Pixel” and he actually influenced some of our productions. His blend of heavy bass and catchy chiptune melodies made him really stand out amongst the waves of bass music producers. Needless to say, we were really stoked when he reached out to us, as we have had demos that would fit perfectly with his style. For this collab, we wanted to make something that perfectly expresses our signature sounds but is presented as a catchy pop tune. We had lots of fun making this track and we hope you guys enjoy it!”

    Weird Genius

“There was something sweet about the track, sweet enough that it could almost be sad. So I wrote something bittersweet because everything sweet needs some bitter. The past year has made a lot of us look back on better times, for better or for worse. Here’s one of mine.”
