Elements Music & Arts Festival 2024 recovers from its shutdown of Day 1

Remnants of Hurricane Debby forced a shutdown of Elements Music & Arts Festival on Friday, August 9, as Long Pond, Pennsylvania experienced tornado warnings and torrential downpour that accumulated over three and a half inches of rain between Thursday, August 8 into Friday, August 9th.

The storm, largely out of the festival’s control, flooded the campsites and shut down the box office for anyone planning to attend the first day of the event. Quickly responding, Elements Music & Arts Festival opened safe enclosed areas for patrons who needed shelter with blankets and water for those who came early to attend the pre-party with Desert Hearts on Thursday.

Despite the weather conditions, Elements Music Festival managed to recover from the shut-down by still making the experience worthwhile for its festival-goers. The festival opened its box office an hour earlier on Saturday, August 10th and adjusted all of the set times of the artists to perform later on in the day. Justin Martin who was originally scheduled to perform at 3 PM, had his set time adjusted to perform later at 7 PM.

By extending the daily course of events, this gave the festival the ability to spread mulch and woodchips around the site to absorb the rainfall to make the festival grounds safer and easier to walk through. It also provided festival-goers the much needed time to pick up their wrist bands and set up their campsites without missing many of the performances on Saturday.  These sets included EXCISION, Slander “Before Dawn” set, Clozee, Fly With Us, Matroda, Barclay Crenshaw, Justin Martin, Dr. Fresch, and LSDREAM.

After the festival, Elements shared an update on their Instagram page on how they will work next year to minimize wait times and fix box office issues. They are sending out a survey on Friday to all ticket holders asking for feedback on improving the festival for next year’s edition.

Known for delivering an eclectic range of performers from a range of genres, on Friday, August 9th Elements Music & Arts Festival was expected to see performances by big-name artists like ILLENIUM, Kaskade, Green Velvet B2B Patrick Topping, Liquid Stranger, The Blessed Madonna, and BLOND:ISH.

Elements Music & Arts Festival has become one of the longest-standing dance music festivals in the New York City area. It has earned a lauded reputation for creating an immersive experience for its attendees in the heart of the wooded Pennsylvania mountains.

5 REASONS Elements Festival is a MUST

1 – NEW – ELEMENTS FERRIS WHEEL & Reimagined Plaza

In an Instagram post, Elements Festival announced that it will be debuting its first-ever Elements ferris wheel, which is sure to be a key highlight attraction at this year’s event.

Further, the festival will also be debuting a new reimagined festival plaza that will allow a communal gathering space for festival goers with shaded seating, large art installations, craft, and food vendors.

    2 – EXCLUSIVE – Back–to-Backs & Surprise Sets!

    Patrick Topping B2b Green Velvet

This year’s festival will feature some of the rarest B2Bs seen on any festival lineup this summer. Friday will host venerable British house producer DJ Patrick Topping alongside veteran house icon Green Velvet in an exclusive back-to-back performance which is an event that festival-goers will not want to miss, but it doesn’t end there.

Elements will also see back-to-back performances by:

    Elements will also be debuting:

    • Odd Mob & OMNOM present HYPERBEAM

4 – Pre-Party hosted by Desert Hearts on Thursday, Aug 8th

If you have not been to a Desert Hearts event, this is your chance to experience what all the hype is about.  Mikey Lion and his Desert Hearts events have gained a cult following in the dance music industry and it’s no surprise why. With warm, positive energy, amazing non-stop house and techno music, and family vibes, this is the only proper way to kick-start Elements Festival weekend.

    5 – EXPANDED STAGES & Immersive Elements

Elements Music Festival is more than just a concert. The festival goes out of its way to create an immersive experience for its attendees. There are also plenty of hammocks to lounge in when attendees want to take a break and listen to the music.

Further, there are a number of paths that lead to other aspects of the festival including its health and wellness lineup with yoga, aromatherapy, dance, comedy, sound baths, and multidisciplinary workshops.

In comparison to other years, the festival grounds have also expanded!

“Fans can expect a number of revamped accommodation offerings and more opportunities to participate and become immersed in the experience. We are blooming sonically as well, with expanded stages including an upgraded water stage. Whether it’s exploring unseen new magical forest areas or experiencing spectacular and interactive art, we encourage attendees to choose their own adventure from a smorgasbord of side quests.”

      Brett Herman, Co-Founder of Elements

Pre-party, single-day, and weekend passes are still currently available at the following link.

Elements also offer a variety of options related to accommodations, which range from car camping to on-site glamping, nearby hotels, and preset RVs and tents for those seeking an elevated experience. Shuttle passes are also available for those looking to avoid driving. Shuttles will provide rides from a number of major cities throughout the Northeast. Welcoming 37 of electronic music’s most coveted acts, Starbase Music Festival will feature the likes of Alison Wonderland, Big Gigantic, NGHTMRE, San Holo, Subtronics, Svdden Death, Wooli, and of course its festival founders, SLANDER.  The festival will also be featuring a special back-to-back set with SLANDER and Said The Sky.

“Starbase was an idea we had a few years back of creating a place where all our artist friends could come together, hang out, and play music for like-minded people. A place where everyone is accepted and loved. A place where you can open your heart, let go of all problems, and rage harder than you ever have before. A place where emotion meets power. We are so grateful this idea is now a reality, and we can’t wait to feel the love that will be generated at Starbase. This is our biggest endeavor yet and our end goal with Starbase is to bring more light into this world. We love you all so much. Superhumans, welcome home!”
