    Major Lazer unveils music video for ‘Titans’

    Major Lazer unveiled the music video for their single “Titans” with Sia and Labrinth from the deluxe edition of their latest album Music Is The Weapon (Reloaded), which is available to stream/download.

    Directed by Ernest Desumbila, the blockbuster video finds Major Lazer on a mission to defeat two giant titans with the help of Baby Yoda versions of Sia and Labrinth.  Featuring stunning animations merged with real-life action, the visual breathes new life into the epic Major Lazer saga. 

    Music Is The Weapon (Reloaded) featured five new tracks including “Titans,” “Diplomàtico” with Guaynaa, “C’est Cuit” with Aya Nakamura and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee, “Pra te Machucar” with Brazilian breakout Ludmilla and “Hands Up” with South African performer Moonchild Sanelly and Mosotho musician Morena Leraba.

    Major Lazer’s Music Is The Weapon was released back in October to critical acclaim. It marked a five-year hiatus from the group’s album, Peace Is The Mission, and featured collaborations with stars from around the globe including Nicki Minaj, J Balvin, Marcus Mumford, Khalid, Alessia Cara, Skip Marley, and many others.

    Major Lazer announce ‘QueLoQue’ off forthcoming album

    Major Lazer recently announced the release of a brand-new single titled, “QueLoQue” featuring the vocals of American-Chilean singer Paloma Mami which is currently available to stream here.  “QueLoQue” marks the trio’s latest track scheduled to be seen off their highly-anticipated fourth studio album, Music Is The Weapon which is slated for release on Oct. 23.  

    It has already been announced that Music Is the Weapon will feature the previously released tracks “Oh My Gawd” with Mr Eazi featuring Nicki Minaj and K4mo; “Lay Your Head On Me” featuring Marcus Mumford; Latin Grammy-nominated “Rave de Favela” with Anitta, MC Lan and BEAM, “Que Calor” featuring J Balvin and El Alfa (which was performed by Balvin at the 2020 Super Bowl alongside Jennifer Lopez); “Trigger” with Khalid, and “Can’t Take It From Me” featuring Skip Marley.  However, the full tracklisting of the album has not been revealed.

    Major Lazer is a Jamaican-American electronic music trio consisting of DJ/producer Diplo, and DJs Walshy Fire and Ape Drums.  Founded in 2008 by Diplo, their music spans numerous genres including reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, and electronic. Their 2015 hit “Lean On” with DJ Snake and MØ has become one of the most successful songs of all time.

    Major Lazer reveal music video for ‘Oh My Gawd’

    Major Lazer revealed the official music video for their recent single, “Oh My Gawd,” with Mr Eazi featuring Nicki Minaj and K4mo, marking the fourth release off of their highly-anticipated album, Music Is The Weapon due out on Oct. 23.  Shot and directed by Reel Goats (DaBaby, Chance the Rapper, Polo G), the video can be seen below.

    Music Is The Weapon is set to feature a slew of the trio’s previously released hits including “Lay Your Head On Me” featuring Marcus Mumford, Latin Grammy-nominated “Rave de Favela” with Anitta, MC Lan and BEAM, the chart-topping “Que Calor,” “Trigger” with Khalid and “Can’t Take It From Me.”  The complete official tracklisting and collaborations on the album have still yet to be revealed.

    Major Lazer announce fourth album, ‘Music Is The Weapon’

    Major Lazer announced a highly-anticipated, fourth studio album titled, Music Is The Weapon which scheduled to be released on Oct. 23.  

    Music Is The Weapon marks the band’s first full-length album since 2015.  The album will feature recently released tracks “Oh My Gawd” with Mr Eazi featuring Nicki Minaj and K4mo; “Lay Your Head On Me” featuring Marcus Mumford; Latin Grammy-nominated “Rave de Favela” with Anitta, MC Lan and BEAM, “Que Calor” featuring J Balvin and El Alfa (which was performed by Balvin at the 2020 Super Bowl alongside Jennifer Lopez); “Trigger” with Khalid, and “Can’t Take It From Me” featuring Skip Marley. The official tracklisting featuring additional collaborations with artists will be forthcoming.

    The band has recently curated a special Music Is The Weapon Spotify playlist, which consists of 50 tracks that inspired their upcoming album.  Fans can listen to the playlist here.

    To celebrate the upcoming release, the group has also unveiled a series of U.S. socially-distanced, drive-in shows.  The Major Lazer Sound System tour will be making its way to Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte and more.  Tickets for the tour will be released to the general public on Oct. 2.

    The band will also be debuting their first-ever comic book early in 2021 titled, Major Lazer: Year Negative One.  Featuring longtime collaborator Ferry Gouw, who created the original Major Lazer character, the comic will be written by acclaimed scribe Alex De Campi.  Fans can preorder the comic and read a preview here.
