Major Lazer revealed the official music video for their recent single, “Oh My Gawd,” with Mr Eazi featuring Nicki Minaj and K4mo, marking the fourth release off of their highly-anticipated album, Music Is The Weapon due out on Oct. 23. Shot and directed by Reel Goats (DaBaby, Chance the Rapper, Polo G), the video can be seen below.
Music Is The Weapon is set to feature a slew of the trio’s previously released hits including “Lay Your Head On Me” featuring Marcus Mumford, Latin Grammy-nominated “Rave de Favela” with Anitta, MC Lan and BEAM, the chart-topping “Que Calor,” “Trigger” with Khalid and “Can’t Take It From Me.” The complete official tracklisting and collaborations on the album have still yet to be revealed.
In support of the album release, Major Lazer will be performing a series of socially distant, drive-in Major Lazer Sound System shows in Houston, Atlanta, and Charlotte. To purchase tickets, fans can visit the following link.
Further adding to their announcements, the band will also be debuting a comic book titled, Major Lazer: Year Negative One where they collaborated with artist Ferry Gouw who created their original cartoon character for the group.
Major Lazer has released three albums since their inception, which includes Guns Don’t Kill People…Lazers Do (2009), Free The Universe (2013), and Peace Is The Mission (2015), which featured the hit song “Lean On” with DJ Snake and MØ.
