    Insomniac announces EDC Portugal 2021 anniversary celebration

    Insomniac announced EDC Portugal 2021 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of EDC.  The festival is scheduled to take place at Praia da Rocha, Portugal from June 18-20, 2021.

    This announcement comes just after Pasquale Rotella, the founder of Insomniac Events revealed on social media that the brand would be celebrating the anniversary in a special location on a beach in Europe.

    Fans can expect all of the usual pomp and circumstance that EDC delivers including five stages featuring 140 top electronic music acts, three dusk till dawn nights, full-size carnival rides, spectacular art, theatrical performers, and thousands of smiling faces.

    A limited number of pre-sale passes will be available to purchase at a price point at £129 for three days with a £20 deposit down payment plan option.     Founded by Pasquale Rotella in 1993, Insomniac Events has delivered some of the most recognized events in dance music including Nocturnal Wonderland and the infamous Electric Daisy Carnival, which will be returning to Las Vegas and Mexico next year. The brand has developed a world-wide reputation for delivering its massive events to festivalgoers in North America and around the world.

    Insomniac Events and Pasquale Rotella announced on social media that the brand would be celebrating EDC’s 25-year anniversary with a special celebration in Europe next year, 2021.  Fans can check out the teaser video here.

    This will mark EDC’s return to overseas since it last appeared in the UK in 2016. EDC UK occurred for four years before its 2017 installment was forced to cancel since it did not meet the expectations of Rotella.

    This news comes slightly after the brand announced that EDC Mexico would be pushed to a later date in 2021.  This adds to the promoter’s long list of events canceled without a confirmed date for next year.

    Insomniac does not inform the exact location of EDC Europe 2021; however, they did note it would be in a “very special location” on a beach and will be in the summer.  Further details are said to be disclosed in the coming weeks.

    Nocturnal Wonderland 2020 announced its lineup for its Virtual Rave-A-Thon, which is scheduled to take place Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19 from 6 pm-12 am PT on Insomniac TV and can be watched here. 

    Hosted by Insomniac’s Founder Pasquale Rotella, the event will feature performances by 4B, Barely Alive, Benny Bennassi, Black Gummy, Borgore, Chris Lorenzo, Drezo, GG Magree, Justin Martin, Luke Andy, Mark Knight, Modestep, Nitti Gritti, Rabbit In The Moon (Live), Schade, and VNSSA.

    Nocturnal Wonderland is expected to return in 2021 on Sept. 18 and 19 at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, California.  The lineup has still yet to be revealed but its 2019 event saw performances by JAUZ, Joy Ryde, Mat Zo,  Zeds Dead, and Zomboy.  Pre-sale tickets have been released and can be purchased at the following link.  Tickets start at $99 for two days with a $9.99 deposit.  Camping passes do not include festival passes. .This will be an 18 and over event.

    Beyond Wonderland announces a Virtual Rave-A-Thon

    On June 17, Beyond Wonderland announced a Virtual-Rave-A-Thon which is set to be held online on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday June 21. 

    The festival, which will include top performance acts from a myriad of genres (trance, house, bass and techno) will include (listed alphabetically): 3LAU, Blunts and Blondes, Carnage (after hours set), Cash Cash, Dash Berlin, Ghastly, Good Times Ahead, Habstrakt, Laidback Luke, Lucii, Manila Killa, Meduza, Mitis, Nitti Gritti, Sage Armstrong B2B Luke Andy SayMyName, Showtek, Testpilot, William Black, and Yehme2.

    Beyond Wonderland announces a Virtual Rave-A-Thon

    Beyond Wonderland is an annual event that has entertained nearly 400,000 attendees. Known to take place at The Gorge, one of the West Coast’s most iconic venues, Beyond Wonderland continues to tell the tale of Alice and her adventures in the festival’s psychedelic storybook.  The festival is known for Insomniac Events’ cutting-edge stage production, art installations, and an array of dancers and performers.

    Fans will be able to livestream the two day  event at the following links via: TV.Insomniac.com, YouTube, or Twitch.  The Rave-A-Thon will be accepting donations toward the Equal Justice Initiative, a charity to fund representation for those who may have been wrongfully convicted and Rave Recovery, offering members of the dance music community aid durin the Coronavirus pandemic.
