    KAYTRANADA sweeps dance music categories at 2021 Grammy Awards

    KAYTRANADA swept the dance music categories at the 2021 Grammy Awards ceremony held at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on March 14.

    Earning Best Dance Recording for the single “10%” ft. Kali Uchi, KAYTRANADA outshined other notable dance music figures for his grooving release.  Other nominees up for the category included Diplo and SIDEPIECE‘s “On My Mind,” Disclosure‘s “My High,” Flume and Toro y Moi‘s “The Difference,” and Jayda G‘s “Both Of Us.

    For Best Dance/Electronic Album, KAYTRANADA earned the Grammy for his soulful LP, BUBBA outperforming Arca’s KiCk I, Baauer’s  PLANET’S MAD, Disclosure’s ENERGY, and Madeon’s Good Faith.

    Adding to the Grammy announcements was notable dance music talent Imanbek who received the Grammy for Best Remixed Recording for his rendition of Saint JHN’s “Roses.”  Imanbek beat out RAC’s Mix  “Do You Ever,” Morgan Page’s remix for “Imaginary Friends,” Louie Vega’s remix for “Praying for You,” and Bazzi vs. Haywire’s remix for “Young & Alive.¨

    Rita Ora & Imanbek release a star-studded four-track EP, “Bang” featuring David Guetta, Gunna, and KHEA which is available to stream/download via Warner Records.

    Kicking-off with fast-paced, catchy lyrics, the EP’s first single “Big” is a radio-friendly production that is co-produced by David Guetta featuring Gunna.  Next on the EP is the track, “Bang Bang” which showcases Imanbek’s trademark sound with melodic house chords that serve big room dancefloor appeal.  The third track “Mood” takes on a more hip-hop approach with bouncy beats featuring trap star KHEA.  Rounding out the EP, “The One” is an emotive release highlighting Ora’s vocals and Imanbek’s iconic production prowess. The EP is paired perfectly with a dazzling video to accompany it.

    Rita Ora is a British singer/songwriter who broke on to the scene in 2012 when she was featured on DJ Fresh’s single “Hot Right Now,” which hit number one in the UK.  She has reached international stardom with a massive catalog of releases that include the number one album, Ora.
