    Insomniac’s world-renowned music festival EDC Las Vegas announced dates for its 2022 edition which is slated to return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway on May 20-22, 2022.

    According to an email sent to ticket-holders for the 2021 festival, Insomniac Events Founder & CEO, Pasquale Rotella, stated that it had been a “rough couple of years” leading up to its 25th anniversary and there will be special prizes rewarded for its ongoing supporters. 

    “I wanted to take a moment to thank you for joining us under the electric sky in 2021. I know it’s been a rough couple of years getting to this point, but I’m excited to know we’ll all be reunited once again on the dance floor & celebrating 25 years of EDC in October.

    In appreciation for sticking with us on this journey, I wanted to do something special if you’re able to join us at EDC Las Vegas 2022 as well.”

    The festival was forced to cancel its 2020 edition and post-pone its May 2021 event to this coming October 22-24 in Las Vegas. This year’s iteration of the event is expected to feature some of the top electronic music artists in the industry including Afrojack, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, The Chainsmokers, Claptone, deadmau5, Diplo, DJ Snake, Don Diablo, Eric Prydz, Excision, Kaskade, Knife Party, Kygo, Loud Luxury, Maceo Plex, Markus Schulz, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, Tchami, Testpilot, Timmy Trumpet, Zedd, and more.

    Insomniac Events dropped an explosive lineup for its 25th-anniversary edition of EDC Las Vegas at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 22-24, 2021.

    In true Insomniac fashion, EDC Las Vegas 2021 will be welcoming to its stages an eclectic mix of some of dance music’s most coveted acts with performances by Afrojack B2B R3HAB, Alesso, Alison Wonderland, The Chainsmokers, Claptone, deadmau5, Diplo, DJ Snake, Don Diablo, Eric Prydz, Excision, Ferry Corsten, Ghastly, Kaskade, Kayzo, Knife Party, Kygo, Loud Luxury, Maceo Plex, Markus Schulz, NGHTMRE, Nicky Romero, Oliver Heldens, SIDEPIECE, Tchami, Testpilot, The Martinez Brothers, Timmy Trumpet, Zedd, and more. 

    This announcement follows the festival’s cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19 and the postponement of the event from May to October due to pandemic restrictions. Tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored for the dates this October.

    Founder and CEO of Insomniac, Pasquale Rotella took to Instagram and made the announcement after Clark County passed a reopening plan requiring 60% of residents to be fully vaccinated before large-scale gatherings can take place.  He also revealed that the highly-anticipated lineup would be announced on Wednesday, April 28 at 12 pm PT. 

     “Unfortunately, the rate at which people get vaccinated before EDC is out of our control. It might happen in time, it might not. Either way, we can’t take that risk.

    The team and I are heartbroken, as I know many of you are as well. For those who have stayed with us on this journey, I thank you. Your trust & loyalty are what give us strength to keep moving forward.”

    EDC Las Vegas was forced to cancel in 2020 due to COVID-19 and made an announcement on April 8 that it would be taking place this year in May. Tickets purchased for the original dates will be honored for the dates in October, or customers can request to receive a refund.

    Known to feature the biggest acts in dance music, EDC Las Vegas has previously welcomed performances by Above & Beyond, Afrojack, A-Trak, CamelPhat, Chris Lake, David Guetta, deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Gorgon City, Steve Aoki, and Tchami to name a few.  It is the largest festival in North America welcoming over 400,000 attendees each year.

    Insomniac announces Electric Mile, a new drive-in audiovisual experience

    Insomniac announced a new drive-in audiovisual experience titled Electric Mile, which will kick off on January 1, 2021, in Santa Anita Park, outside of Los Angeles.

    Electric Mile will be a multi-day in-car socially distanced party featuring Insomniac Events’ magnanimous production elements that the brand is known to deliver.  The event will host seven unique worlds to represent Insomniac’s most revered festivals including EDC, Beyond Wonderland, Nocturnal Wonderland, Escape, and Countdown New Year’s Eve.  The event will host more than 500 art installations, five million lights, lasers, disco balls, light-up mushrooms, and more, making it the ultimate dance party that fans are not going to want to miss.

    Complying with all CDC guidelines and COVID-19 restrictions, Electric Mile will not allow any of its attendees to exit their vehicles and is capping a limited number of people per vehicle with eight passengers.  The one-hour rave will be featuring music that fits flawlessly to each of its festivals hand-picked by the owner of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella.

    EDC Orlando Virtual Rave-A-Thon lineup is announced

    Insomniac revealed the lineup for its first EDC Orlando Virtual Rave-A-Thon, which is scheduled to take place Friday, Nov. 20, and Saturday, Nov. 21 at 9:00 pm EST / 6 pm PST on Insomniac TV.

    Featuring an all-star lineup of 16 electronic music acts, EDC Orlando Virtual-Rave-A-Thon will be featuring performances by Afrojack, Anabel Englund, Autograf, Blunts & Blondes, Cat Dealers, Cosmic Gate, Elephante, Eptic, Goldfish, Good Times Ahead, Kaskade, Loud Luxury, Morgan Page, Peekaboo, Riot Ten, and Sunnery James & Ryan Marcano.

    In line with its previous Virtual Rave-A-Thons, the event will be hosted by Founder of Insomniac Events Pasquale Rotella and will be collecting proceeds for Rave Recovery, the dance community’s very own relief fund.

    Pasquale Rotella announced Rave Recovery earlier in the year, stating,

    “Looking out for one another and giving back have been cornerstones of rave culture since people first set foot on the dance floor.With so many people experiencing hardships brought on by COVID-19, those principles are more important than ever.     Insomniac announces Forbidden Kingdom 2021

    Bass music festival Forbidden Kingdom will be joining forces with Insomniac Events for its 2021 edition as it makes a return to Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton, FL on June 11-12, 2021.

    The partnership will make for a fitting opportunity for both live music event companies as Forbidden Kingdom will receive the immersive production elements of Insomniac’s team while Insomniac will be expanding its events on the East Coast.

    In response to the recent partnership announcement, Founder and CEO of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella said,

    “After witnessing Forbidden Kingdom’s growth, feeling the buzz it created in the dance music community, and meeting the creative producers behind it all, I know it will be a perfect fit within the Insomniac family.     Escape Halloween 2021 returns to Southern California

    Insomniac Events recently announced that Escape Halloween 2021 will be returning to NOS Events Center in Southern California on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, 2021.

    In an announcement made on Twitter, the Founder of Insomniac Events, Pasquale Rotella, shared that the festival will be bringing “extra twisted horrors to your Halloween weekend, with brand new stages, new areas & thousands of your spooky faces!”

    2020 would have marked the 10th Anniversary of Escape Halloween. However, the festival was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.  Instead, this year the festival will be hosting a Virtual Rave-A-Thon on Oct. 30 and Oct. 31 at 8 PM PT via Insomniac TV here. This will be similar to what Beyond Wonderland and Nocturnal Wonderland hosted previously this year.

    With the lineup expected to be announced as it nears closer to the festival dates, one can expect that next year’s Escape will be better than ever before to make up for the loss in 2020.  Some of its previous editions featured all-star performances by Armin van Buuren, deadmau5, Eric Prydz, and Zeds Dead to name a few.

    Escape Halloween “Psycho Circus” is an annual electronic music festival held by Insomniac Events in Southern California.  The festival features Halloween themed walk-through mazes, stages, and costumed performers with performance genres spanning house, electro, drum bass, techno, and trance.  For additional information on Escape Halloween 2021, please visit its official website here.

    Insomniac announces a 25-year celebration of EDC in Europe

    Insomniac Events and Pasquale Rotella announced on social media that the brand would be celebrating EDC’s 25-year anniversary with a special celebration in Europe next year, 2021.  Fans can check out the teaser video here.

    This will mark EDC’s return to overseas since it last appeared in the UK in 2016. EDC UK occurred for four years before its 2017 installment was forced to cancel since it did not meet the expectations of Rotella.

    This news comes slightly after the brand announced that EDC Mexico would be pushed to a later date in 2021.  This adds to the promoter’s long list of events canceled without a confirmed date for next year.

    Insomniac does not inform the exact location of EDC Europe 2021; however, they did note it would be in a “very special location” on a beach and will be in the summer.  Further details are said to be disclosed in the coming weeks.

    Nocturnal Wonderland 2020 announced its lineup for its Virtual Rave-A-Thon, which is scheduled to take place Friday, Sept. 18, and Saturday, Sept. 19 from 6 pm-12 am PT on Insomniac TV and can be watched here

    Hosted by Insomniac’s Founder Pasquale Rotella, the event will feature performances by 4B, Barely Alive, Benny Bennassi, Black Gummy, Borgore, Chris Lorenzo, Drezo, GG Magree, Justin Martin, Luke Andy, Mark Knight, Modestep, Nitti Gritti, Rabbit In The Moon (Live), Schade, and VNSSA.

    Nocturnal Wonderland is expected to return in 2021 on Sept. 18 and 19 at Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, California.  The lineup has still yet to be revealed but its 2019 event saw performances by JAUZ, Joy Ryde, Mat Zo,  Zeds Dead, and Zomboy.  Pre-sale tickets have been released and can be purchased at the following link.  Tickets start at $99 for two days with a $9.99 deposit.  Camping passes do not include festival passes. .This will be an 18 and over event.

    On Aug. 2, EDC Las Vegas Founder Pasquale Rotella announced that EDC Las Vegas 2020, which was scheduled to take place this October would be postponed to May 21-23, 2021.  The festival will still take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway next year.

    In an announcement posted on Instagram, Rotella stated that EDC Las Vegas wanted be a safe environment for festival goers.  In order to do this, festival goers would partake in a two step COVID-19 testing process, the first being at home before traveling to Las Vegas and the second being at the venue upon arrival.  In order to make this possible, the event has now been forced to postpone.

     “We just learned that the medical advances necessary to pull this off will not be ready in time.”

    Next year will mark the festival’s 25-year anniversary, which is sure to be monumental.  All 2020 passes, including Camp EDC and shuttles, will be honored for the new 2021 dates and will automatically transfer over. For those who would like a refund, ticket holders can visit the following link
