    Florian Picasso announces livestream from Pablo’s atelier

    DJ/producer Florian Picasso announced a livestream that will broadcast from Pablo Picasso’s atelier on February 20 at 4:00 PM CET / 10:00 AM ET via his official Facebook Page.

    Powered by Pioneer DJ and Pioneer Pro Audio, the livestream event will feature a performance by internationally recognized DJ Florian Picasso while giving spectators the rare opportunity to see inside Pablo Picasso’s atelier which used to serve as his painting studio.  For one night only, the room will be transformed back to its original state to resemble what it looked like when Pablo was working there with paintings, sketches, and sculptures.  The artist is set to use the latest gear from Pioneer DJ in his performance.

    The 90-minute set will also include Vietnamese artist Cyril Kongo who will be painting alongside Florian throughout much of his performance. Being adopted from Vietnam by the famous Picasso family, this unique collaboration further emphasizes Florian’s ties with the country. The art piece created by Cyril will be auctioned with all the proceeds benefiting an orphanage in Vietnam. The painting will later be handed over to its buyer during a Global Gift Gala.

    This announcement comes recently after Florian Picasso delivered a mesmerizing livestream back in August from Pablo Picasso’s Villa Californie in Cannes.  The villa has become an ‘unparalleled place of inspiration’ to Forian who based his recording studio in the same place his grandfather used to work on his art.

    Florian Picasso performs Livestream to honor his great-grandfather

    On Aug. 11, Florian Picasso performed a Livestream event to honor his late great-grandfather, Pablo Picasso, at the Villa Californie in Cannes.  Fans can still experience the event by visiting Florian’s Facebook page at the following link.

    The performance, which featured stunning visuals, architectural projections, and a light show, exceeded all expectations as millions watched the performance broadcast live.  The Villa Californie is where Pablo Picasso created a number of his artistic masterpieces and is also where Florian Picasso produces much of his music.

    The performance saw the premiere of a number of new tracks.  In response to the event, Picasso stated,

    “I’m very happy we were able to do something this special here in Cannes. Turning the entire house into a moving piece of art felt like the right way to pay tribute to what this place represents and the history it has. My team and I put a lot of work into this show and the response has been absolutely amazing so far, I can’t wait to let you all know what’s coming next!“

    The Livestream was a 4-month-in-the-making undertaking and took a team of over twenty-five people and fifteen tonnes of gear to pull-off.

    On Aug. 7, Florian Picasso announced that he would be paying tribute to his grandfather, Pablo Picasso, in an exclusive livestream performance from the Picasso Villa Californie in Cannes on Aug. 11 at 9:30 CEST.  Fans can tune-in on Facebook to watch the livestream here.

    Previously inhabited by the great Pablo Picasso himself, the magnificent villa is where some of the artist’s great masterpieces were created including “The Bay of Cannes” in 1958.  The villa has become an ‘unparalleled place of inspiration’ to Forian Picasso who based his recording studio in the same place his grandfather used to work on his art.  

    To honor his artistic heritage, Florian Picasso decided to broadcast a special livestream event during the sunset along the French Riviera. The set will close with an exclusive 10 minute soundtrack exclusively produced for the performance.  With villa as its backdrop, spectators will take-in breathtaking architectural projections, lighting, and pyrotechnic displays.  The set will premiere new records from Florian and will end with a very special announcement that will pay tribute the historical heritage of his family.

    Florian Picasso is an electronic music producer and DJ who is the grandson of the great artist, Pablo Picasso.  Adopted by the Picasso family after being born in Vietnam, he has collaborated with the likes of Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, and more.

    Florian Picasso entertains millions in a live stream

    On June 21, Florian Picasso, the famous electronic dance music artist performed an exclusive live stream set honoring his Vietnamese heritage.  The performance was viewed by over 1 million people worldwide and reached over 2 million viewers, many of whom were in Vietnam.  

    Paying tribute to his home country, Florian teamed up with a VR company to perform the first half of his set on the river banks of the Mekong and the second half of his set in the city of Saigon.  While performing, the artist received thousands of comments on the live stream marking three years since his last performance there.

    In 2017, Picasso attracted 80,000 attendees on New Year’s Eve as a solo headlining artist. 

    “When I play in Vietnam it feels extra special and the connection I have with the crowd there is really the best on earth for me. One of my biggest regrets is to not be there more often and I want to change that from now on!“

    Picasso is no stage name for Florian Picasso. The internationally acclaimed DJ and producer was adopted from Vietnam into Pablo Picasso’s family by Pablo’s granddaughter, but still strongly embraces his origins.
