    Steve Aoki releases highly-anticipated EP, ‘60KI – Rave Royale’

    Acclaimed DJ/producer Steve Aoki released his highly-anticipated EP, 60KI – Rave Royale which is currently available to download/stream via Dim Mak.

    Steve Aoki x Timmy Trumpet – Tarantino ft. STARX 

    Taking it back to his club and festival roots, the EP features six heart-pounding collaborations with Timmy Trumpet, k?d, Gammer, Brennan Heart, Ben Nicky, and Hasse de Moor.  With an epic diverse range of sound, the EP features singles, “BIB,” “Like It Like That (feat. Spyro & MYLKI),” “Incoming,” “Mind Control,” “Close to You (feat. PollyAnna),” and the catchy Pulp Fiction revamp of “Tarantino (feat. STARX).”  Each track is uniquely crafted to take listeners on a journey to experience Aoki’s own creation of his Rave Royale world.

    This EP is a follow-up to his previous 40KI EP, which explored deeper club-focused house music, and 50KI which touched upon big-room electro sound.  Steve Aoki’s 60KI Rave Royale switches things up by delivering six explosive hard dance/hardstyle anthems, serving as a testament to Aoki’s range in style and music.

    To coincide with Aoki’s Rave Royale release, a series of music videos are paired with the EP’s sound perfectly.  Each video is a narrative that spans across a series of animated video game-style visuals inspired by the cult classic Japanese film Battle Royale and the video game Fortnite. Each music video features Aoki’s Team 60KI who battles with evil “Team Mean” in an effort to reach the 6OKI Rave Arena before the doors close forever.

    Renowned DJ/producer Steve Aoki teamed-up with k?d to deliver the heart-pounding release, “BIB” which is currently available to stream/download via Dim Mak.

    A tribute to the old school days of rave, “BIB” is a 170 BPM hardcore anthem with pounding low ends spliced up with hoovers and rolling snares. The track is scheduled to be featured on Aoki’s highly-anticipated six-track rave EP, 6OKI – Rave Royale, due out January 22 via Dim Mak.  The track is a follow-up to the artist’s lauded Timmy Trumpet collaboration “Tarantino” featuring STARX which is also set to appear on the EP as well.

    “My 6OKI – Rave Royale EP campaign continues with the second single; this one is with k?d and we are calling it ‘BIB.’ I’ve been a fan of k?d for a while, as I really think he is making some of the most exciting hard dance music in the world right now. ‘BIB’ pulsates with so much energy from the jump, that k?d and I were literally jumping up and down over FaceTime while making this track. We hope you all can feel that same energy too as we proceed with our Rave Royale!”

    Directed by Roland de Keizer from PitchParrot Studios, the official “BIB” music video sees Aoki and k?d aka “Team 6OKI” battle it out against Colonel Apocalypse in one of the six maps on the Isle of Rave.  Featuring obstacles, including a steep waterfall drop, swampy terrain, and flaming coconuts, team 6OKI ultimately overcomes.  In closing, the duo has a fitting rave celebration before Aoki takes off to his next battle.  

    The music video is a part of Aoki’s 6OKI own dynamic animated music video series.  Each video tells a story about how Aoki and his collaborators fight villains throughout the “Isle of Rave” with an ultimate goal to reach the 6OKI Rave Arena.

    Steve Aoki & Timmy Trumpet collaborate on ‘Tarantino’

    Steve Aoki & Timmy Trumpet collaborate on the new single, “Tarnatino,” which is currently available now via Aoki’s recording label, Dim Mak at the following link.

    The track marks the first single release of six that will be featured on the Aoki’s upcoming EP titled, 60KI – Rave Royale, which is due out this upcoming fall on his recording label.  

    On “Tarantino,” Steve Aoki & Timmy Trumpet modernize the classic surf guitar riff made famous by the Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction and shed light on the Rave Royale sound that will be displayed on the upcoming EP.

    “It started with 3OKI, 4OKI, 5OKI, & now 6OKI. The series is about my club & festival roots – songs that go off live & serve ravers in the front row! Covid-19 halted live shows, but I’m still making tunes with that live energy.”
