Grammy-nominated production duo CamelPhat remixes the most recent single from multi-platinum selling band Bastille titled, “Distorted Light Beam,” which is available to stream/download now via Republic Records.
Bastille – Distorted Light Beam (CamelPhat Remix)
Opening with the earworm hook from the original, CamelPhat’s remix of “Distorted Light Beam” consists of undulating bass and ominous undertones. Both enveloping and sultry, the alluring rendition champions at being club-friendly while aligning with the track’s compelling and catchy intent.
Co-written and co-produced with Ryan Tedder alongside the band’s long-time collaborator Mark Crew, “Distorted Light Beam” marks the first single off of Bastille’s upcoming fourth studio album and is the beginning of a new chapter for the band. The track has been climbing up the Alternative Radio Chart and currently sits in the Top 15. Fans will have an opportunity to see the band perform “Distorted Light Beam” on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series on August 23.
The track was released alongside a cinematic official video starring British actress Remmie Milner from the BAFTA-winning series, Save Me and uses a newly developed immersive technology, “Futurescape.”
The band released its first single from their forthcoming album last month, “Give Me The Future,” which is now featured in Jeep’s new video campaign, “Life Electrified.”
