Lauded dance music group Glass Animals enlist Riton to remix their hit single, “Heat Waves,” which is currently available to stream/download via Wolf Tone Records.
Glass Animals – Heat Waves (Riton Remix)
Opening with the track’s catchy lyrics, Riton reimagines “Heatwaves” into a grooving four-on-the-floor heater. Picking up the pace of the original, the track features scintillating synths with undulating bass and some 80s elements in the mix. Riton transforms the enigmatic release into a mashup of electronic sounds to make the recording sizzle even more.
Riton’s remix marks the third remake of the original release. “Heat Waves” also received remix treatments by Oliver Heldens and Sonny Fodera in an expansion pack back in February, which is out now via Republic Records.
This week, “Heat Waves” climbed to the numer one position on the Alternative Radio Chart, a first for the band in their career. The song is also number one on Mediabase, number one on Billboard Alternative Airplay Chart and number one on Apple Music Alternative Genre Chart, made its debut on Apple Music All Genres Chart, and it continues to grow on Top 40 Radio. Glass Animals also unveiled a mesmerizing, live version of “Heat Waves” featuring Holly Humberstone earlier this month.
“Heat Waves” comes from Glass Animals’ critically-acclaimed album Dreamland, which entered the UK charts on its opening week at number two. The album clocked up 160 million streams in its first week of release and is currently available to stream/download.
