On Aug. 2, EDC Las Vegas Founder Pasquale Rotella announced that EDC Las Vegas 2020, which was scheduled to take place this October would be postponed to May 21-23, 2021. The festival will still take place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway next year.
In an announcement posted on Instagram, Rotella stated that EDC Las Vegas wanted be a safe environment for festival goers. In order to do this, festival goers would partake in a two step COVID-19 testing process, the first being at home before traveling to Las Vegas and the second being at the venue upon arrival. In order to make this possible, the event has now been forced to postpone.
“We just learned that the medical advances necessary to pull this off will not be ready in time.”
– Pasquale Rotella
