EDC Europe 2021 announced that it will be canceling its 25-year anniversary celebration in Portugal this year and moving its dates to  June 17-19, 2022 due to ongoing issues with the pandemic.

Originally slated for June 18-20, 2021, EDC Europe was expected to have a stellar beach location with over 140 artists announced in just its initial phase one lineup back.  Some of the artists expected to perform included Adam Beyer, Alan Fitzpatrick, Alesso, Andy C, Armin van Buuren, Artbat, CamelPhat, Charlotte De Witte, Chase & Status, Chus & Ceballos, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Diplo, DJ Anime, DJ Snake, DJ Tennis, Dom Dolla, Don Diablo, Dubfire B2B Nicole Moudaber B2B Paco Osuna, Eric Prydz, Fisher, Galantis, Head Hunterz, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones, Jauz, Loco Dice, Maceo Plex, Marshmello, Nora En Pure, Patrick Topping, Paul Kalkbrenner, Richie Hawtin, Tchami, Tiesto, and W&W to name a few.

For those who purchased tickets, ticket holders will receive an email that will give them the option to roll their tickets over to 2022 or request a refund. More updates and news can be found on EDC Europe’s official website.

This announcement comes after a number of other events canceled their 2021 editions due to COVID-19 including Ultra Music Festival, Burning Man, Coachella, and Parookaville.

Founded by Insomniac Events, the Electric Daisy Carnival brand has grown to become one of the most relevant festivals in dance music.  Its annual event EDC Las Vegas will be celebrating its 25-year anniversary in 2021 making it its biggest year yet.
