Flux Pavilion delivers euphoric remix for Whethan’s ‘Upside Down’

Electronic music producer Flux Pavilion delivers a soaring remix for Whethan’s 2020 single, “Upside Down” featuring Grouplove, which is available to stream/download via Atlantic Records.

Whethan – Upside Down (feat. Grouplove) [Flux Pavilion Remix]

Opening with catchy, reverb vocals, Flux Pavilion transforms “Upside Down” into an indie-inspired dance release.  With guitar-laden riffs giving the track an alternative feel, the release infuses a circus-like beat to the track’s sing-songy lyrics.  Closing out the single, the track radiates with soaring synths bringing the record to an inspirational completion.

“Flux was one of my favorite acts when I was first getting into music. When I first heard ‘I Can’t Stop’ I was so inspired by it, I knew I had to be involved in that world. This remix is a combination of so many different worlds and styles and I’m honored Flux would want to hop on the remix.”

Whethan

“A big fan of Whethan since day one, it’s been a pleasure watching him explore his sound and his newest album is a treat. When I heard ‘Upside Down’ I had an instant idea and its extraction from my brain was as organic as it could be. I don’t know what genre it is, but it feels right to me.”

Flux Pavilion’s rework of “Upside Down” marks another genre-defying remix expected to be featured on Whethan’s upcoming remix compilation Fantasy: Remixed, out on Friday, March 26.  The album will also include previously lauded remixes “Freefall” by Tchami, “Stay Forever” (feat STRFKR) by Midnight Kids, “Hurting On Purpose” (feat K.Flay) by Biicla, and  “All In My Head (feat grandson) by grunge house talent Saint Punk. Whethan’s album Fantasy, which was released last year, received critical acclaim for its boundary-pushing releases.
