Monolink kicks-off 2021 with a mesmerizing new release titled, “The Prey,” which is currently available to stream/download via Embassy One, Ultra Records, and Sweat It Out.

Opening with a haunting vocal to reel listeners in, “The Prey” is an indie-infused, ambient release that mesmerizes from start to finish.  The track’s somber textures pair perfectly with its emotive lyrics that reminisce about “going back to where we started from.” Monolink is able to transport listeners into his own reflective dimension of sonic exploration with this strikingly poignant offering.

The Prey is a story of seduction, of using each other. It’s a story of projection, of only seeing yourself in the other. It’s a story of realization, of waking up from a dream.”

“The Prey” marks the third stunning single to be taken from the producer’s upcoming sophomore studio album  and follows the success of his two back-to-back 2020 singles, “Sinner” and “Otherside.”  Both releases are also anticipated to appear on the forthcoming album as well.

German electronic producer and singer-songwriter Monolink emerged onto the scene in 2018 with his debut album, Amniotic.  The album went on to receive over 100 million combined streams to date and was largely supported through remixes by some of the most lauded acts in house and techno including Patrice Bäumel, Tale Of Us, Rodriguez Jr, Ben Bohmer, Artbat, Adam Beyer, and Nicole Moudaber. The remixes all achieved Beatport Top 10 placings, with Artbat’s remix of ‘Return to Oz’ reaching a staggering 43 million combined streams to date. Monolink has brought his captivating live performances to notable venues and festivals such as Burning Man, Lightning in a Bottle, III Points, Tomorrowland, Osheaga, Melt, Montreux Jazz, and is confirmed to perform at Coachella 2021.
