MAKJ and JYYE close-out 2020 with the release of ‘Promises’ which is currently available to stream/download via Armada Music.

Reflecting on the things that have occurred over the past 12 months, “Promises” looks for ways to better ourselves for the coming year and make it one worth remembering. The release sees MAKJ link up with JYYE for a second time on Armada and features deep vocals weaving throughout suspenseful builds and arpeggio-driven drops. “Promises” is a follow-up to the MAKJ hit “Green Light” which became EDMunplugged’s Track of the Month in October 2020.

Mackenzie Johnson, more commonly known by his artistic name, MAKJ grew up on California’s Central Coast before moving to China as a teenager to race professionally for eighteen months. As a producer, he has collaborated with some of the most esteemed figures in dance music including Deorro, Hardwell, Lil Jon, O.T. Genesis, Quintino, Showtek, Steve Aoki, and Timmy Trumpet to name a few. He can found performing at some of the largest and most prestigious music events in the world including Coachella, Creamfields, EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, Parookaville, Tomorrowland, and Ultra Music Festival.
