Leaving Laurel release three-track EP ‘A Secret Place’ on Anjunadeep

Leaving Laurel have announced a brand-new three-track release, “A Secret Place EP” which is currently available to stream/download via Anjunadeep here.

Favored by the likes of Klasmos, Catching Flies, and Christian Loffler, “A Secret Place” treads the indie-electronic waters where acoustic instrumentation blends with electronic arrangements.  The opening track, “Rosaro” starts delicate but gives way to a strong guitar-infused chorus.  Their title track “A Secret Place” picks up the pace and introduces a vocal by Pierce Fulton, while their final track, “Guardian Angels Watch Down On You” offers a driving fuzz-filled binge.

“Leaving Laurel is a tale of two old friends connecting musically for the first time after almost a decade. Inspired by recording into an old, thought to be broken, cassette tape player, a new project materialized seemingly out of thin air – something neither of us knew we were looking for.”

Leaving Laurel

Leaving Laurel is comprised of American producers Pierce Fulton and Gordon Huntley better known by his artist alias, Botnek who have developed a penchant for introspective melodic electronic music.  Their previous releases include their debut single “sometimes it’s scary but it’s still just you and me” and their EP “Through and Through” have caught the attention of Phil Taggart at BBC Radio 1, KEXP, Sirius XM Chill, and artists Claptone and Cassian.
