Innovative electronic music producer Pierce Fulton has died at age 28 after a battle with mental illness.
According to a statement released by his family on Twitter it stated,
“It breaks my heart to share with you that PIerce passed away on Thursday evening following a tragic struggle with his mental health.
Pierce was so incredibly full of life, love, and unimaginable creativity…..He traveled the globe for the better part of a decade doing what he loved & cemented powerful friendships with so many wonderful people along the way, accomplishing more in his career in music than most could dream to accomplish in a lifetime.”
It went on to state that the year had been an incredibly difficult time for everyone and to reach out for help if you are struggling. The family intends to create an organization in the artist’s memory, which will focus on creating a positive change. Please see below for the complete statement released by the family.

Pierce Fulton was an American DJ, producer, and multi-instrumentalist known for the chart-topping hits “Runaway” which landed on Billboard’s Emerging Artists chart in 2014, and “Kuaga (Lost Time)” which was listed at number 38 on Billboard‘s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart. The artist has put out records on the esteemed imprints Armada Music, Monstercat, and Cr2 Records and has toured with esteemed producer Wolfgang Gartner. Later in his career, he had a production alias Leaving Laurel where he put out music with Gordon Huntley of Canadian duo Botnek.
