David Guetta & MORTEN announce a monstrous rework of the Fleetwood Mac classic, “Dreams” which is currently available to stream/download.
David Guetta & MORTEN – Dreams
After making an indelible mark on the dance music industry with eight Future Rave collaborations, which accumulated over 140 million streams, David Guetta & MORTEN return with another big room release. ‘Dreams,’ which reworks the 1970’s hit by Fleetwood Mac, features the stunning production ability of two of the most desirable dance music artists in the industry right now. The track, which delivers dancefloor-ready appeal, evokes heavy emotion that makes you want to dance and sing the lyrics at home or on the dance floor.
The track is sung by rising artist Lanie Gardner, who Guetta discovered on YouTube and immediately fell in love with. Gardner’s sleek, soulful vocal is accompanied by sustained bass and a swirling synth that builds with anticipation. As it builds to a crescendo, the classic is revitalized with the stylings of a 1990’s trance rendition.
“Dreams” marks Guetta’s first rework since the 2014 hit single “Shot Me Down.” The track, which reworked Nancy Sinatra’s classic hit “Bang Bang,” garnered over 760 million streams to date. “Dreams” has similar potential as he worked alongside Danish artist MORTEN, which will introduce the Fleetwood Mac original to a new age.
This release comes shortly after Guetta received the number one DJ position for the 2020 Top 100 DJ poll. After receiving the award, Guetta took to the decks to deliver an impressive set, which featured all tracks either produced or remixed by him. With thousands of support from fans on YouTube who immediately embraced David Guetta & MORTEN’s Future Rave sound, the industry waits in anticipation to see the two perform on stage live once again.
