Martin Garrix feat. Bono & The Edge – We Are The People [UEFA EURO 2020 Song]

A track that took three years in the making, “We Are The People” merges the signature vocals of U2’s vocalist Bono with the guitar-laden melodies of fellow bandmate The Edge to create an uplifting production that showcases Martin Garrix’s studio prowess.  With hair-raising impact, the inspiring release delivers a message that positivity, hope, and determination can overcome any obstacle.

Creating the music for one of the biggest sports events in the world together with Bono and The Edge has been an incredible experience. I’m very proud of what we did together and excited to finally share it with the world!”

Martin Garrix

“We Are The People” fits into the UEFA EURO 2020’s theme of Unity.  For the first time in EURO history, the European tournament will be played all across the continent, which further emphasizes this message.

In addition to this announcement, Garrix will also be producing the official walkout and broadcast music for the tournament.  Since 1992, every UEFA EURO Championship has been provided with a song and soundtrack from the likes of Nelly Furtado, Simply Red, and Enrique Iglesias to name a few.

The long wait is almost over, and we are delighted to officially unveil the official song for UEFA EURO 2020 ‘We Are The People’, which features some of the world’s most celebrated artists in Martin Garrix, Bono, and The Edge. Football and music have the power of bringing people together. They are vectors of passion and emotion and combining them will extend further the fan celebration of the tournament, as well as reaching out to new audiences. With the star-studded line-up we have pulled together to create the tournament’s official music, we are confident of doing just this.”
