Governors Ball 2021 revealed dates for this year’s edition, which is scheduled to take place on September 24-26, 2021 at Randall’s Island Park, New York.

Featured on the event’s “Frequently Asked Questions” page, Governors Ball organizers say that they remain “hopeful” that the 2021 event will occur as COVID-19 vaccines continue to be rolled out.  However, safety is the festival’s top priority as they work closely with all city and state authorities

The festival revealed in an Instagram post that this year’s edition will have a fresh new lineup, which still has yet to be revealed.  Based on its previous editions, festivalgoers can expect an eclectic range of acts across the dance, pop, rock, and hip-hop spectrum.  Its previous editions have welcomed the likes of Beck, deadmau5, Chromeo, Florence & The Machine, Gorgon City, Marshmello, Odesza, Rudimental, Kanye West, The Killers, Tool, and Wu-Tang Clan to name a few.

Scheduled to take place in June, the 2020 Governors Ball Music Festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 lineup featured acts Flume,  Miley Cyrus, Missy Elliot, Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, and more.

Should Governors Ball 2021 not take place, refunds will be issued. Further, those who purchased tickets for its 2020 edition can transfer their tickets to 2021 or ask for a refund.
