With its tender storytelling and soothing vocal work, the acoustic-guitar-laced track shares the narrative of a young trans woman the artist met while playing Warped Tour.
“She told me how her parents had come to the show with her, and how seeing our community helped them to understand that her coming out as trans wasn’t just a phase—this is who she really was. It made me cry to think that we could have that kind of impact and change people’s perceptions, just by being ourselves.”

Dominic Harrison, more commonly known by his artist name YUNGBLUD is an English singer, songwriter, and actor. Known for vocalizing about significant issues that affect his generation, he uses his music to unite and empower the youth of today. Following the release of his self-titled EP and 21st Century Liability in 2018, the artist went on to release the underrated youth EP, which debuted in the top 10 on the UK Official Albums Chart. He was crowned MTV Push: Ones to Watch winner at the start of the year and went on to win “Best Music Video” at the NME Awards in Feb 2020. He most recently won Best Push artist at the 2020 MTV EMAs.
