Electric Forest 2021 announced that it will be postponing its original 2021 festival dates to August due to ongoing “COVID-19 considerations.”

It is still uncertain if whether or not the festival will be taking place this year. However, organizers of the event posted an announcement on social media and their website saying,

“HQ is working tirelessly to navigate our potential options for 2021, and discussions with all parties involved are ongoing. If Electric Forest 2021 is to happen, it will take place in August.

While we all miss each other tremendously, and can’t wait to connect again in the Forest, the safety of the Forest Family remains the utmost priority. With a little more patience, we will have the clarity we desire. For now, we want to make sure that clarity is based on every bit of information possible.”

The White Lake Beacon reported in January that the Rothbury Village Council approved dates in June as well as two additional weekends for the festival in August. According to Village clerk Carol Witzke, the alternate dates are August 12 – 15 and August 19 – 22, which were reported when the 2021 festival date was announced in January.

2021 would mark Electric Forest’s rescheduled 10th-anniversary celebration. Its 2020 edition lineup, which was canceled featured the likes of Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, Diplo, Duke Dumont, Flume, Louis The Child, Major Lazer, and Tchami to name a few.  To remain up-to-date with the Electric Forest, please visit its official website.
